Spirulina is a microscopic blue-green algae in the shape of a perfect spiral coil living both in sea and fresh water. Contains an unusually high amount of protein, between 55% and 77% by dry weight. It is a complete protein, including carbohydrates, minerals, fatty acids, vitamins, pigments carotenoids and phycocyanin, and all essential amino acids.Spirulina pigments such as phycocyanin are known as superfood.

It is very easy to overfeed your invertebrates with dry food. Sprinkle lightly over the surface of the water occasionally, or use in the preparation of shrimp food, a great addition.
